Mezzo-Soprano Alex Kemp graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Mass Media and a minor in vocal music. Alex has been involved with many vocal groups and churches around the Atlanta area for several years. In the summer of 2004, Alex attended the Sarasota Opera Youth Summer Workshop where she first learned about her passion for opera and classical music. She performed in scenes from Die Zauberflote, Tosca, and Werther. In 2006, Alex participated in a concert tour with Valdosta State University Chamber Singers in Krakow, Poland. While at Valdosta State, Alex performed in The Mikado, Cendraillon, and El duo de la Africana. For the past few seasons, Alex has been involved with Capitol City Opera Company in Atlanta. She has been in several productions such as Sweeney Todd, La Boheme, Suor Angelica, The Merry Widow, Abduction from the Seraglio, Man of La Mancha, La Traviata, as well as the CCOC Madrigal Singers. She has also performed with the Los Angeles Metropolitan Opera in Idemeneo.
